Meghan Markle beats Kate Middleton as 'most respected' royal: 'Brave and resilient'
MEGHAN MARKLE and Kate Middleton are members of the Royal Family. According to a new study, the royals have been named among the most respected public figures.

Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton both married into the Royal Family. They have become well-known public figures who are respected and admired by many.

A new poll conducted by youth health charity stem4 analysed the interest in a number of celebrities and public figures.
This included musicians, online creators, sports people and public figures.
Data on members of the Royal Family was collected to show who was deemed the most respected.
Both Meghan and Kate made it onto the list showing those surveyed have respect and admiration for both Duchesses.

The Duchess of Sussex took the lead, however, gathering 21 percent of the votes.
Kate Middleton followed on the list with 11 percent of participants deeming her the one they respect and admire the most.
The study surveyed 1032 people between the ages of 13 and 25.
The most common reason for admiring public figures was “they are brave and resilient, and even when things go wrong they carry on".
Another popular reason for respecting the figures listed was as “they stand up for people’s rights and make society a better place”.
Meghan and Kate weren't the only royals who made their way onto the top list, however.
Queen Elizabeth II took the top spot as the most admired of all public figures.
The monarch garnered the votes of 26 percent of those surveyed.
Prince Harry and Prince William also made the list with 21 percent and 11 percent respectively.
Those who took part in the study also named other celebrities who they look up to.
Marcus Rashford, Lewis Hamilton and Raheem Sterling were the most admired sports people.
David Attenborough, Captain Tom Moore and Greta Thunberg were deemed the most inspiring people.

"It’s far more important that you show bravery, resilience, and compassion for others and for nature.
"Those are certainly qualities the Queen shares with some of the other names on this list such as David Attenborough and Marcus Rashford.
"It’s also significant that many of the most admired famous people are those, like Billie Eilish and Prince Harry, who have been open about their own mental health challenges."
The royal line of succession - who outranks who?
The line of succession to the British throne dictates the order in which each member of the Royal Family would ascend to the throne.
It is also seen as a ranking of importance with the head of the line, the Queen, taking the place of ruler.
Older children come before younger children. Traditionally boys came before girls, but this law was changed on 26 March 2015 before the birth of Prince William’s first child.
Incredibly, Catholics are still excluded from the line of succession, as are children born outside of wedlock.
The royals, who usually stick to a strict protocol when appearing in public, often arrive at events in ascending order of importance, with the most important royal arriving last.
Prince Charles, 72, is currently first-in-line to the British throne, followed by Prince William, 38, his oldest son.
Then comes Prince William’s children, George, seven, Charlotte, five, and Louis, two, and they are followed by Prince Harry, 36. Prince Harry is succeeded by his son Archie Harrison, born in May 2019.
