Wisconsin’s Department of Health Services Thursday reported 5,097 new COVID-19 cases and 41 deaths from the virus. It’s the first time the state has reported more than 5,000 new cases in a day since last November and raised the 7-day rolling average for new cases to 3,015.  There were also 129 hospitalizations. The Wisconsin Hospital Association says there are 1,446 COVID -19 patients in hospitals across the state with 409 of them in intensive care units.

Winnebago County reported 220 new COVID-19 cases Thursday. Ninety-one (91) new cases were recorded in Fond du Lac County and Dodge County had 68 new cases. Green Lake County had 13 new cases, Waupaca County had 59 new cases, and Waushara County reported 13 new cases of the coronavirus.
