Kanawha adds COVID-19-related death, 99 new positive cases Thursday

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WCHS) — Another COVID-19-related death was reported in Kanawha County on Thursday.

The death of a 77-year-old woman raised the county’s death toll from the virus to 489, according to the Kanawha-Charleston Health Department.

Health officials also reported 99 new positive cases, increasing Kanawha County’s active total to 788.

The health department also reported 68 recoveries for the day.
