Providence police respond to a shooting on Atwells Avenue, Sunday, Sept. 26, 2021. (WJAR)

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WJAR) — A person was shot in Providence Sunday night.

The shooting happened just before 10 p.m. on Atwells Avenue.

The person's name or condition was not immediately released.

NBC 10 News reached out to Providence police for more information but have yet to hear back.
