The Pride Parade in the Historic 39th Street District is back in Oklahoma City after being canceled last year because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Rainbow flags, rainbow shirts, rainbow everything was on display in the Historic 39th Street District as dozens of floats made their way to the parade and thousands of people showed up. Many were happy to celebrate after missing it last year.
"We got a lot of support, and it's nice to be able to call this place home," Talesha Ashley said.
"It's awesome. It's amazing. I'm glad we got it back. We needed it. It's our one day to get out and be ourselves," Amanda Larson said.
"The support and the way the community shows up even when we are in a pandemic, we still come out. And love is love," Amanda Crosby added.
