MILWAUKEE (WLUK) -- Saturday is "Bob Uecker Day" in the State of Wisconsin.

Governor Tony Evers made the proclamation yesterday.

In it, Evers says this is being done to celebrate 50 years in the broadcast booth with the Brewers.

Uecker spoke about it at a press conference before Saturday's game.

“I’m happy here every day," Uecker said. "Every day I come downstairs and enjoy, enjoy the players, enjoy the winning.”

Mr. Baseball also threw out the first pitch, using a pitching machine.
