(610 Sports) – Tyrann Mathieu missed an entire week of practice while on the reserve/COVID-19 list leading up to the Chiefs season opener against the Cleveland Browns at Arrowhead Stadium and was ultimately held out of the game, even though he tested negative multiple times over a 24-hour period and was cleared by the league.
Mathieu, the unquestioned quarterback of the Chiefs secondary, didn't wait long to make his season debut a memorable one. Less than one minute into the game, Mathieu picked off Lamar Jackson's second pass of the game and took it to the house for a pick-six.
If that wasn't enough of a season debut, Mathieu would pick off a second errant pass from Jackson, this time in the end zone to stall a long drive by the Ravens.
All of this action from Mathieu and it's not even the second quarter.
